The most widely reported story comes from Colorado based breeder Moksha Seed Co., which crossed The Sauce #1 and Drive Thru Wedding #3. Cannabis connoisseurs say its flavor profile is sweet and earthy, with a lovely smell reminiscent of rainy forest walks amongst pine trees. So far, there are few reports about what a session spent with this version feels like. A second, less documented lineage for Cake Frosting is Wedding Cake and Permafrost. The aromatic profile from this cross ultimately aligns much more closely with its Cake Frosting name. Think: baked goods, vanilla, and cream. Effects are described as heady, cerebral, and long lasting. The original breeder is unknown.
