Doppelganger

Doppelgänger, umlaut optional, is a retired indica dominant hybrid strain bred by premium California cultivator Fig Farms — but this one has a story. While hunting Purple Fig F2 phenotypes — a complex cross of Romulan, Snow Leopard (itself a convoluted cross of Chemdawg, Uzbekistan Hash Plant, Afgoo, and Blockhead), and #11 (Green Crack crossed with Haze) — the growers fell in love with a batch that stunk of "undeniable stale urine" but mislabeled the cut and lost it to time. Years later, Fig Farms found a cultivar that seemed similar before developing a more tropical nose near the end of its growing cycle, earning it the name Doppelgänger. It's pissy and pineappley flower, with sugary gummy bear notes, that if luck has it will surface again one day soon.
