Oregon Grape
Premium hybrid cannabis variety
Oregon Grape is a somewhat mysterious cultivar said to be the first generation offspring of AK-47 and White Widow. AK-47 originated in the early 1990s, containing genetics from Afghani, Mexican, Thai and Colombian landrace strains. White Widow also emerged in the early ’90s, believed to have been first bred by Green House Seeds in the Netherlands. Both parent cultivars are multi award winning varieties, which perhaps contributed to Oregon Grape’s genesis by Pacific Northwest breeders. Oregon Grape was so named for its birthplace and its distinct grapelike aroma, a trait mentioned in almost all online reports. Now only available in clone form, consumers reportedly savor the rare find for its purple and-green coloring and sweet flavored smoke.
