Potato Runtz is a balanced hybrid cannabis strain with multiple origin stories. Some sources simply list this strain as a cross of Potato Kush and an unidentified Runtz strain. There is a more elaborate story, that the Potato Runtz strain originated as a hybrid of White Runtz and Pink Runtz, created by Compound Genetics. The name was chosen by fashion designer Imran Potato to promote his new clothing line, in collaboration with the streetwear brand Runtz. Elaborate origin stories aside, Potato Runtz is a flavorful strain with strong notes of sweet berries and citrus when smoked, with just the slightest hint of wet, earth covered roots on the exhale. The buds of this strain are no small potatoes, either. Large and rounded, Potato Runtz nugs sport bright green leaves with a dark violet base, clusters of twisty orange threads, and a dense coating of opaque white crystal trichomes. Users say that Potato Runtz provides a well balanced high, calming racing thoughts while focusing creative pursuits.
